Takes on Billboard's Top Ten: added new "Facts of Life theme" tribute to Robin Thicke and his great parents, whose work still inspires!

Tribute to chart-topper Robin Thicke & his still-thriving parents Gloria Loring and Alan Thicke
tune of "Facts of Life"

And one we didn't try to post on YouTube - but when the NY Times reported on Robin Thicke's hold on the chart, and coincidnetally after I actually got to email a bit with Gloria Loring, who regular readers may know is one of my favorite singers (her duet on song-writer Harriet Schock's Ferris Wheel song is an all-time favorite single):

"On Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart, Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” holds at No. 1 for a fourth week,"  (NY Times article July 3, 2013)

to the tune of "Different Strokes" (classic TV theme by Robin Thicke’s folks Alan Thicke & Gloria Loring)
Now the chart don’t move,
Doesn’t have a different song
Acts that thought they would improve,
Well they were proven wrong
A man is born - t
o two TV faves
The public isn’t torn,
All their list’ning gives him raves

He’s got gifted folks, they’ve uplifted folks
Kid of gifted folks, he rules the chart , yes he does
Having gifted folks is really smart!

Everybody loves some very special theme songs
Like Facts of Life and Diff’rent Strokes
But who tops the chart right now, we say wow, holy cow,
Though his art is much different from his folks
(The execs ain’t making jokes)

He had gifted folks and rules the chart, yes he does
Having gifted folks is really smart!
